Statement from Clayton
With the help of the Leovici team, I've designed a collection comprised of seven limited edition pieces - three T-Shirts, a Puffer Jacket, a Hoodie, a Double Breasted Coat, and a Hat.
Athluxe T-Shirt
When I was designing my t-shirts with the team, I was looking for features that I couldn't often find with other clothing companies. The length of the shirt was crucial. I also wanted something that could accommodate broad shoulders and a broad chest, but still taper down in the mid section so that it's not flaring out like most t-shirts that I've had in the past. I also wanted to use a fabric that was conforming but not too restricting. I also love the versatility aspect of the plain black t-shirt. This shirt can be dressed up and dressed down.
Outerwear
I knew that I wanted to design some outerwear. Versatility is a huge part of my identity, so when it came to the jackets it just made sense to have a couple different options. We did that with the Double Breasted Coat and the Puffer Jacket. What I love about the Double Breasted Coat is that it can be dressed up. If you're going out on the town or going to a fancy dinner, this coat takes your look to the next level. To me, the Puffer Jacket is more of that every day type of piece. I love the fact that we are providing options for whatever it is that you are doing.
Hoodie
The Hooded Sweater is my favorite piece from the collection. When I was first sent a Hoodie from the team at Leovici about a year ago I was absolutely blown away. It was the most comfortable hoodie I had ever worn. This piece is going to be something that your significant other is going to want to steal.
Oversized T-Shirt
I also wanted to design an Oversized T-Shirt because they are coming back into style. I wanted to add it to the collection because, again, I am all about versatility. This shirt can be worn at the gym, out on the town, and it is also a great layering piece. Another thing that I love about this particular shirt is the fit. Typically, oversized t-shirts are boxy, but with this shirt you're getting an athletic taper and a perfect "oversized athletic" fit around the shoulders and arms.
5 Panel Cap
Accessorizing has been a big part of my style lately. This hat adds another element and another layer to the aesthetic that we developed with this collection. It is clean, concise, and has a simple logo on the front. This hat really dresses up your style and takes it to the next level.
Philanthropy
We are collaborating with a non-profit on this project - The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). I couldn't be happier to say that the proceeds from each purchase is going to go to the AFSP. The AFSP is providing resources to individuals as they navigate their mental health journey. This is truly a cause worth fighting for.
Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.
AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide, including those who have experienced a loss. AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies:
- Funding scientific research
- Educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention
- Advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention
- Supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide
